Menstrual Blood used to be the most Sacred substance on Earth, and now science is discovering its incredible healing powers…
(This post adapted from information provided by Seren Swannesha Bertrand from The Fountain of Life http://www.thefountainoflife.org/).
One of the most important rituals was preparing a ‘drink of immortality’ made from menstrual blood, which is full of healing stem cells, which can actually activate our cellular capacity to regenerate and transport us to endocrine states of rapture. Or in a spiritual sense open us to the Frequency of Love and Eternal Life, transporting us to another Dimension – called Heaven, Paradise, Nirvana etc.
This ‘Love Feast’ or ‘Sacred Marriage’ – a core part of the Menstrual Mysteries – was eventually declared a heresy and women were barred from participating in Christian rites.
However the ‘Power of Renewal, Rebirth, and Resurrection’ previously associated with the Holy Womb and Menstrual Blood of the Divine Mother was transferred to the story of Jesus and his ritual of Eucharist – ‘hic est sanguis meus – this is the Chalice of my Blood’ – where worshippers ‘drank his blood’ to gain the power of Rebirth through him.
In most ancient myths and religions, throughout the world dating back hundreds of thousands of years, the power of rebirth had always been a blessing of the Feminine Womb – embodied and gifted by Sacred Womb Priestesses across many cultures. It had never been held by a man. Although there are many legends about the ‘menstrual powers of female shamans’ being stolen by male gods.
The Holy Grail, in its true original essence, is the Womb.
Women born many, many thousands of years ago in what we might called ‘Original Innocence’ – before many of our genetic capabilities went offline, held this power naturally, as a birthright, shared with their tribes in renewal rituals.
Since those times, once the birthright was lost, women across many lineages and cultures – Womb Priestesses – have practiced many varied ways to heal, clear and open the Womb, so it can once again embody the frequency of Love, of Original Innocence, so that the energetic and physical stem cell capacity can activate purer states of consciousness and activate incredible regenerative healing. This knowledge has been almost lost over the last thousand years, as it has been fragmented, scattered and deliberately destroyed.
Earlier this year Fountain of Life met with a top international research scientist working with menstrual blood stem cells. His research indicated they had the capacity to work ‘miracles’. He described how the first time he used Menstrual Blood Stem Cells he felt like he had been ‘reborn’ – an unfit man in his late fifties, he’d had to run around the block because he had so much energy.
Another research scientist in his sixties working with stem cells had experienced his hair change from grey to the black of his youth in a matter of months. Throughout the world, in secret, these experiments are happening – in China, Russia, India, and more.
Whilst women are giving their power away to patriarchal ideologies, taking drugs to stop their menstrual cycle, using cancer-causing chemical bleached tampons to stem the flow, seeing their Menses as an inconvenient ‘curse’ they are ashamed of, male scientists around the world are using the power to experience states of physical and spiritual high.
Isn’t it time we reclaimed our Feminine power? Honoring the sacred regenerative properties of the ‘Flowering’ of our Wombs.
Evidence of the Sacredness of Menstruation throughout all cultures before the rise of the male-dominated patriarchy is well documented….
- The Maoris stated explicitly that human souls are made of menstrual blood, which when retained in the womb ‘assumes human form and grows into a man
- Africans said menstrual blood is ‘congealed to fashion a man’.
- In Hindu theory as the Great Mother creates, her substances become thickened and forms a curd or clot. This was the way she gave birth to the cosmos, and women employ the same method on a smaller scale.
- Indians of South America said all mankind was made of ‘moon blood’ in the beginning.
- In ancient Mesopotamia, they believed the Great Goddess Ninhursag made mankind out of clay and infused with her “blood of life.”
- Adam, from the feminine adamah, means “bloody clay.” The Bible’s story of Adam was lifted from an older female-oriented creation myth recounting the creation of man from clay and moonblood.
- In the Koran’s creation story, it says that Allah “made man out of flowing blood”; but in pre-Islamic Arabia, Allah was the Goddess of creation, Al-Lat.
- The Great Mother manifested herself as the spirit of creation (Kali-Maya). She ‘invited the gods to bath in the bloody
flow of her womb and to drink of it; and the gods, in holy communion, drank of the fountain of life and rose to Heaven
- ‘hic est sanguis meus’ – ‘this is the Chalice of my Blood’ as spoken in the Christian Eucharist refers in origin to the menstrual blood of the Great Mother, not Christ.
- The Norse god Thor reached the magic land of enlightenment and eternal life by bathing in a river filled with the menstrual blood of a ‘giantesses’ — that is of the Primal Matriarchs, the ‘Powerful Ones’.
- Odin acquired supremacy by stealing and drinking the ‘wise blood’ from the triple cauldron in the womb of the Mother-Earth, the same Triple Goddess known as Kali-Maya in the southeast Asia.
- Egyptian pharaohs became divine by ingesting ‘the blood of Isis,’ a soma-like ambrosia called sa. Its hieroglyphic sign was the same as the sign of the vulva, a yonic loop like the one on the ankh or Cross of Life. Painted red, this loop signified the female genital and the Gate of Heaven
- The same elixir of immortality received the name of amrita in Persia. Sometimes it was called the Milk of the Mother Goddess, sometimes a fermented drink, sometimes sacred blood. It was always associated with the moon.
- Celtic kings became gods by drinking the ‘red mead’ dispensed by the Fairy Queen, Mab, whose name was formerly Medhbh or “mead.” Thus she gave a drink of herself. A Celtic name of this fluid was dergflaith, meaning either “red ale” or “red sovereignty.” In Celtic Britain, to be stained with red meant to be chosen by the Goddess as king. Celtic ruadh meant both “red” and “royal.”
- The communion wine drunk by witches was menstrual blood. The famous wizard Thomas Rhymer joined a witch cult under the tutelage of the Fairy Queen, who told him she had “a bottle of claret wine here in her lap,” and invited him to lay his head in her lap. Claret was the traditional drink of the kings and also a synonym for blood; its name literally meant ‘enlightenment.’
- It is still specified in the Left Hand Rite of Tantra that the priestess impersonating the goddess must be menstruating, and after contact with her a man may perform rites that will make him “a great poet, a Lord of the World”
- Taoists said a man could become immortal (or at least long-lived) by absorbing menstrual blood, called red yin juice, from a woman’s Mysterious Gateway, symbol of life-giving female energy. Chinese sages called this red juice the essence of Mother Earth, the yin principal that gives life to all things. They claimed the Yellow Emperor became a god by absorbing the yin juice of twelve hundred women.
- Taoist China considered red a sacred color associated with women, blood, sexual potency, and creative power. White was the color of men, semen, passivity, and death. This was the Tantric Idea of male and female essences: the male principal is seen as ‘passive’ and as the female principal as ‘active’, the reverse of later patriarchal views.
- The Maori rendered anything sacred by coloring it red, and calling the red color menstrual blood. Andaman Islanders thought blood-red paint a powerful medicine, and painted sick people red all over in an effort to cure them.
Ancient tombs everywhere have shown the bones of the dead covered with red ochre. Sometimes everything in the tomb, including the walls, had the red color. J.D. Evans described a tomb on Malta filled reddened bones, which struck fear into the workmen who insisted the bones were covered with “fresh blood.”
- Greek mystics were “born again” out of the river Styx, otherwise known as Alpha, “the Beginning.” This river wound seven times through the earth’s interior and emerged at a yonic shrine near the city of Clitor (Greek kleitoris) sacred to the Great Mother. Styx was the blood-stream from the earth’s vagina.
- The Sufis, who also practiced Yoni Worship, associated female embodiment with red, and the male counterpart of ‘consciousness’ with white. Red and white colors alternated in the Sufi halka or magic circle, called the very hear of Sufism. The Arab rosary of alternating red and white beads had the same meaning: men and women coupled around the circle.
- The rites were often governed by old women, due to the ancient belief that post-menopausal women were the wisest people because the permanently retained their “wise blood.”

This is extraordinary!
can I have the names of the scientist who are dong research with menstrual blood. it is good to have them just in case an ignorant person doubts the power of menstrual blood.
Martha, I don’t have any more information than that which is posted. In response to ignorant people who want to challenge the information, I say let them. You won’t convince anyone who does not want to be.
Also, note that this information is copied from http://www.thefountainoflife.org/ – where you will need to contact Seren and ask her on this research.
GoSS
You would call someone ignorant for not taking what you say at face value? There’s no shame in wanting validation. Where is the love, open mindedness, and acceptance so key to followers of the metaphysical?
No I don’t call someone ignorant for not taking what I say at face value. This post is not something I wrote regardless, and comes from others research. I want validation myself when I don’t sit right with something I have read or heart. I am not sure what you are asking about love and open mindedness and acceptance so key to followers of the metaphysical. I don’t know the reference you are making as to where I have not been, you don’t say.
Ignorance is a state in which one lacks informaition. Should an ignorant person challenge an question you, it is to gain said information. They want you to justify he claim you are making. That is science. My quesion: what was the nature of the experiments these guys did, how many tests did they run, how many peolple did they try it on, and were their findings peer reviewed? Maybe there is potential use for menstrual blood, but without a source for this study you can hardly consider it valid. And I really wonder how it compares to, say, embryonic stem cells.
Eric
It is not my information. I clearly state at the top where I have shared it from. I am not responsible for the veracity or otherwise of the information, I merely offer it for interest and awareness expansion. Please contact the original writer if you wish to challenge the information, but I believe she sourced it from another book anyway, which she states as well.
I suggest, Martha and Erik, that you diligently use the internet for research on that yourselves. That is what I spend hours doing everyday… cross referencing information, for the purpose of validation, knowledge and insight.
Years later the research is out!
Love it…. I decoded this…
Revelation 22:2
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
“They are speaking of a woman’s cycle she has 12 menstrual cycles a year, she sheds one each month; her leaves being her tissue cells in her menstrual cycle, Stem Cells aka “LEAVES” broken down in etymology.”
I am convinced of the youthful, and healing properties of menstrual blood. Now to find a donor… 🙂 It would be fun to drink from the source!!!
Erik
I don’t think ‘fun to drink from the source’ is the idea any woman would have in regard to offering her menstrual blood to any man. If you come from a space of honouring and humility, with intent to use the many different properties of this elixir, then you would stand a better chance.
In the OTO ritual of the Gnostic Mass, which was written by Crowley, the sacrament is a “cake of light” which contains menstrual blood which has been cooked into a small cookie. It is considered the blood of Babalon.
Fab!!! TY
If women only knew of their power. I’m reading Aphrodite’s daughters. All women need to read the book. We forgot who we are.
we were thought to forget. we need to fight back
ordering it now. done! thank you!
So… teach us to reclaim our power. What is the ritual in preparing the drink? What is the recipe?
Ritual is only a way of teaching others, sharing something sacred, but it is not the sacred in and of itself. … Take what is sacred to you – create your own ritual – ask yourself – you are the one who holds the power, and its in your blood. Maybe mix the blood with earth, or herbs, or dew, or energize it with sound, or song, or chanting… I’ve discovered so much through communion with earth. I wrote a piece on earth communion, which you can read at http://www.rowanflower.com/communion , which reminds me very much of this. When you create your own ritual, you relate directly to the sacred, directly, without any veil of uncertainty, belief, etc… This is immortality, divinity… This is sacred communion.
interesting and fascinating reading! Thank you for sharing this information with us. I am definitely going to look more into this as it is an area that I am interested in.
As I have said at the top of this article, it has been adapted from the information found on The Fountain of Life website. I did not do the research nor know the scientists, but I have provided the links if you wish to pursue the author.

I have contacted the author regarding the questions posed in this feed and she has responded with the following:
We are doing a lot of research in this area, and the scientist is a colleague of my husband’s. If you direct people to our website to contact me me can keep them posted as we will be releasing a book on the Biology of Feminine Awakening. At the end of our Teacher Training course will be holding a ‘Renewal’ menstrual ritual which hasn’t been done in this way on earth for many thousands of years.

A very interesting article indeed. I had come across some of the magical powers of menstural flow while doing research for a paper on sexual ritual in magic and religion. Quite interesting that scientists are doing research as well. But the funny thing is, if flow can change grey hair back why do I still have grey hair? 🙂

Hello delicious ones.. The picture at the Maori section of Barbra Walkers excerpt, is the cover of my CD, Temple of the Blood… I’ve been working with women to reclaim their sacred blood flow for the past 15 years, and this tool, the CD is one of my offerings… http://www.livinggently.com.au/Temple-of-the-Blood-CD.php is the link… This recent understanding of stem cells being the core of the blood is an amazing turn of events, witnessing the medical profession have to find someway to phrase the importance of the menstrual flow, whilst at the same time defining menstruation it as obsolete… bizarre. May we all know the blessings of the Blood, for there are so very many of them!
hello you have a great website. I wanna say thanks for publishing this cool articles with us. Keep up this good work.
I’m looking for a woman that would be willing to give me some of her menstrual blood to drink. I’m happy to answer any questions interested women may have about this. The only requirements are that those interested be at least 18 years old and healthy. Those interested may contact me at femblood92@yahoo.com
Hi, thanks for sharing.
Amazing news for me, i am confused about the articles, so can person drink Menstrual Blood?
What is confusing??? Isn’t that what the whole article is about. How it has been ingested through ancient cultures as an elixir used by the patriarchy and before.

The world is subdued by the violence of patriarchy! Hailing from India i know how much suppression and servitude the women face here. I always argue with my grandmother about the place given to women and girls. We are supposed to be silent sufferers and carries burdens symbolized by the menstrual blood. The blood is taken to be infectious and polluted. A girl during her menstrual cycle is treated poorly in India. The spasms caused during menstruation is considered our weakness and powerlessness. It is considered a punishment of womanhood. Men also spread believes that a sinned man gets born as female to suffer the sins of his past! Women are greatly ignorant of their innate strength. No man can ever surpass the mental strength and will power of a woman. I doubt on what basis does the world consider men powerful than women. Other than physical strength they have nothing that can surpass the power of woman including the power of creating life.
Women are always special, india is finding hard times in all the issues but its not ignorant about women,i have seen couple of bad incidents happening,i felt so painful about it, its all about time Lady, soon my country is going to be best in the world, Even if you read anchient indian texts, you will come to how our ancestors cared for a women.. Even though she is finding hard times in some places, its not going to be for ever.. i being a men, i can’t even think a life without a women, it will be like a so much silence, life would more HARD to pass through, women has taken all the places,
no matter what mother earth will guide her to the HIghest.
Shiv , Im still in India and yes i am well aware of our scriptures and the norms of the Vedic age. Those were times when India prospered like no other nation. But as time passed all our scriptures were misinterpreted and the final result is today’s status of women. I agree with you that the society is changing which is one of the main reason that i am here to comment on a post. But there are parts in india were the realisation of the female powers is impossible for atleast upto the next few generations.
really great
so..if it was so important and life giving..why was it ever shunned?….and how can you really drink it?…please explain..
I am referring to this sentence with my question “Whilst women are giving their power away to patriarchal ideologies, taking drugs to stop their menstrual cycle, using cancer-causing chemical bleached tampons to stem the flow, seeing their Menses as an inconvenient ‘curse’”
What are patriarchal ideologies?
What can we do instead of using cancer-causing tampons during our cycle?
Thank you,
Shawna
Patriarchal ideologies are the ideas and limitations and actions that men and the church have placed on women over the last 4000 years to disempower them, to make their worth no more than a chattel, something to be owned; to disenfranchise them from their own soul worth and to keep them believing that they are useless, stupid, unable to own jobs and wealth and have an education or original idea or thought.
Rather than use tampons and pads, the menstrual cup is a rubber of latex cup that fits up inside the vagina over the cervix and catches the blood as it flows. Google menstrual cup and also google patriarchal ideologies for more information.
buy a moon cup 🙂
I use toilet paper as a pad. Been considering reusable cotton I deal with the bleed through etc. I have horrible menstral cycles my husband was the first person to suggest it wasn’t right to use tampons. He believes leaving the blood in the tampon in there was poisoning me and that i should just let it flow. Make up your own alternative toilet paper and a certain pair of undies works for me also pads are packed full of chemicals also that’s why I don’t use them.
Curious though if there is a rule about the flow you are drinking? Could clots of color have an effect on your spiritual outcome? I’m healthyish but my flow never.looks normal and I’m curious if it needs to be red or unclotted?
I have always enjoyed drinking menstrual blood directly from the yoni, and asking my partners to paint me with their blood during their cycle. The mooncup is ideal for this.

Wow!what powerful information!I want more
Hi.
Thank you for posting the information. Men need to know this and more. Check out Yoni Tantra as well. It will blow your mind. I’ve taken the elixir myself and it did amazing things to my body. But the woman who’s giving it must be healthy and virtuous. All vaginal fluids are good for men’s health. Same goes for women. Prosperity in this world comes from men making women happy. Women are goddesses of this world and sex is a divine act of creation. Much damage has been done by social engineers and it shall be a long road back home for society in general. I love you ladies. Without you this world is hell.
I do have a conflict here. I stop my cycles as they were painful enough that I was about to have to go to the hospital for them. Really terrible. On the other hand I am pagan and fully respect the sacred nature of them, they just don’t seem to return the respect. I really wish they would.
Please look up vaginal steaming or Toni steaming.
Sorry I meant to say , yoni steaming. It helps all women with menstrual issues and or vaginal issues.

Wow thank you for sharing this information. What would it mean for very irregular cycles sometimes going months without it? I am saddened that I have gone so long without having this powerful experience with my body.
Jennifer, you need to go to your doctor and see what the cause for your irregularity. It could be any number of things. Best to find out.

The mythology section is very well detailed, however the specific names of the scientists doing modern research into stem cell in menstrual blood for treating injuries should be listed if you hope to get this up past the male guardians of Wikipedia health articles. Even adding the mythology bits under a menstruation in mythology section would be difficult.
It’s also important to differentiate between menstrual blood and menstrual blood containing an early stage embryo like the 14 day primitive streak stage recommended by Bush’s council of bioethics. It sort of sounds like it clearly demonstrates the lunar affect on human biology matching up exactly with the moons cycle. The two are distinct but closely related, and the expect the latter is ultimately more effective as there’s apparently no research done into it; even research that shows it to be extremely dangerous or completely ineffective is non existent; which raises some questions as to what else it’s ok for science just to ignore.
It would improve a lot of lives if this information was widely available; however it would also cut into the profits of a pharmaceutical industry that isn’t even required to test it’s products on female lab rats; much less ones at different stages of pregnancy or female or male rats on stem cells. Maybe hospitals are just afraid of being boycotted by the pro life movement if they go anywhere near embryonic stem cells or maybe they just like money more than helping people heal; greed and fear of extremists are strong motivators that can even interfere with an oath to help others.
I would love to drink this sacred elixir myself and see the difference but sadly I cannot for I am a man and I don’t think there are too many women who would take kindly to you going up and asking them for a cup of their menstrual blood
Give thanks for brilliant article. It has prompted me to ponder upon thr fact that we now hav a large portion of women on earth who are stil of child bearing age who hav had hysterectomies such as myself at age 28 now am 46.
i am most interested in the spiritual effects of this phenomen.

Hi i want to know if you can drink your own blood and which part of the cycle is good to drink , the beginning, middle or endand how much, i want to try, thank you for the information.would love to hear from some one who has done this regularly and what are the effects observed in your direct experience.much thanks
Hi Lata – did you try/have you found any more info? I have the exact same question – will I energetically be retaining everything I am meant to be releasing? so can men drink the mensuration blood from woman? what will happened if men drink it?
From the beginning and Some 20,000 years back there was no menstrual cycle blood flow in the female women body, after some days great three sins were made by Male energies and requested to all it to distribute as no body can sustain that sins made by great men. At that time other two sins are given to others and the last horrible sin is accepted by that time feminine energy and from that period the MC is flowed as sin cleaner from the female body. Till today in many religions MC is not considered as sacred due to many reasons that know all females. Many feelings are there in this case. Different idealogies are flowing in this subject. More important is whether the good, better, best and bad worst worst categories are made in females on there behaviours. All ideas are possible in biological changes with the help of stories and sciences from time to time. Some discoveries and investigations proved that many years back there was birth of child without intercourse, after that some words were sufficient to take birth and recently in the last 10 to 20 thousands years actual intercourse is must for birth of child. Today’s idealogy is seen it is good to some extent with the help of science but psychological feelings says that MC is producing some negative energies in the mind of human beings. some logic is there naturally behind this feelings.
Just to add some other “hearsay” I grew up with to your statement that “AFRICANS SAID THAT “MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS CONGEALED TO MAKE A MAN” “:

AND THIS STATEMENT WAS VENERATED LIKE SOME GOLDEN GEM and kept secret from other tribes. Make sure you do not UNDERESTIMATE the DEADLINESS of my tribe’s poisoned arrows. FYI, it possibly made the early colonialists resort to paranormal measures on top of their guns to subdue the arrow-men. And the tribe’s ascendancy lasted well between the early 1800s to the mid-1900s Unthreatened and unrepulsed in their territorial and cattle-rustling quests and nomadism. They wandered, often strayed but they came back prosperous, their cattle having calved and “added” along the way. NOW IT’S COMING CLEAR TO ME THAT THIS MENSES STORY IS NOT, OR WAS NOT A PRIMITIVE HEARSAY. Now, you can pardon me, the menses are perhaps no S#!T afterall!

If I can’t post it, then perhaps someone is creating some barrier.
I’m glad you have found some connection between the ancient tribal stories and this one. It is a shame though that they would refer to blood of the womb wherein they themselves were nourished into life as SHIT.
For me I will perhaps regard with seriousness the “elder and traditional knowledge” of my male warrior ancestors IN THE LIGHT of the educated nature and dissemination we are all getting from this site. My ancestors regarded the menstrual blood greatly, perhaps they regarded the females that way too. The knowledge was almost lost, for I heard it at some simple talk. I will take the info more seriously again. Obviously, it’s hard for me now to know whether some rituals were performed as the blood was being administered, or otherwise was simply drank. I may have to ask, although a perfect answer would have been achievable in those ’80s, and I was too you young to grasp most of the elder’s parables and twisted languages of those days, that’s B4 English truly became national. And for the ladies, with my own humility, I wish to say that most men are not anti-matriachy as such, they mostly defined history all the time in the past and they perhaps thought that behind the scenes someone like them runs the show too! As a matter of fact who among us men came from “elsewhere”! I treasure the ladies deeply, and how much more “that” which from the ladies aided my ancestry so greatly in their quests. Nothing chauvinistic. Just wanna show some possible evidence too that the menstrual blood may be curative, and was almost lost to my generation as their world shifted from tribal nomadism. Thanks.
Bobby, are you from Uganda? It sounds like it since you mention arrowboys and pastorilsm. If you are, please let me know. We are Iteso and trying desperately to collect the folk tales and traditional healing from amojong before they all die out.

What do you (and others) make of this (see above) information?
I went to have a look at her page. I must say, it is rather simplistic in its explanations, and not very academic in the information shared, but the subject matter is huge and to just make open statements about virgin birth and other topics without referring to the research is to leave the information in the realms of story. It’s a story I believe in mostly, but not a great page for facts.
Yeah, you are right about that, I guess (by the way; sorry about the late reply), but perhaps this book (see below) has more fact-based reference-material:
Haven’t read it yet, but I plan to…just to be more “enlightened” about the topic! What is your opinion of the stuff above?

The Most important thing is that “You” believe …no one else’s beliefs.Should effect you ..You don’t need validation. I’ve felt this way about things for a long time …Now I found some awesome information.Thank you 🕉.In my experience…I use menstrual blood, semen & and vaginal secretions (never thought about the name of that) if anyone knows please tell me ..Anyway I mix them sometimes and put them on my Chakras. I’ve noticed my connection is stronger and my orgasms are stronger also. My libido is going back to when I was a teenager. I highly recommend this if anyone has any of these issues.*warning* Graphic..in the middle of sex my BF says omg Why does this feel sooo good like this!😣💣 so I believe he’s definitely connected☯️♾

Thank you for then great and most important work you are doing with this page. The text mentions som legends in which ‘the menstrual blood of a female shaman is stolen by a male God’. Do you know the name or names for this or these legends?
I have tried to visit the page of ‘the fountain of live.org’. But it seems to be a Christian church! Is it closed, or what happened?
Thank you ones more for the words of wisdom…
